I love an advent calendar that feels like more than just a daily countdown, and this building block advent calendar is such a fun idea if you've got someone who enjoys building.
Behind each of the 24 doors is a mini build, so there's something new to put together every day in the run-up to Christmas. I also like that you don't have to stick to one build a day if you don't want to, you can combine the pieces to create four larger builds instead.
It feels like a lovely way to slow down during December. Instead of rushing through the countdown, you've got a little festive activity waiting each day, whether that's five minutes after school or a cosy evening at the table with a hot chocolate.
I'd definitely leave this out as part of the Christmas decorations so it becomes something everyone looks forward to opening. It's the kind of advent calendar that keeps the excitement going all month rather than disappearing after the chocolate's been eaten.
If you're putting together your Christmas countdown, this building block advent calendar is a lovely alternative to traditional advent calendars and makes a fun choice for anyone who enjoys creative activities and festive building projects. π€π
